BSP Cost of the PreconditionedConjugate Gradient Method

The BSP model (Bulk Synchronous Parallel) provides a framework which permits the performance of a parallel algorithm to be predicted in a precise way. In this work we aim to analyse the main aspects of the BSP model studing three parallel preconditioners for the Preconditioned Conjugate Gradient Method. We also report the experimental results obtained on a IBM SP2. These results seem to lead to the conclusion that the BSP model can be used to predict the performance of a parallel algorithm.
